  • Are there options for compensation besides workers' compensation?
Depending on the specifics of your case, there may be additional options for pursuing compensation and damages. In very limited circumstances, you may be able to file a claim against your employer directly. More often, your other avenue will involve third party liability. This exists where an individual or organization not affiliated with your employer was responsible for your accident or injury while you were on the job. For example, if you were harmed by defective machinery at your workplace, you may be able to sue the manufacturer or seller. If civil damages can be obtained due to a third party's negligence, this is in addition to the benefits you will be entitled to under workers' compensation.
  • The company doctor says my injury isn't work related. What can I do?
You should never forget that the doctor who the employer and insurance carrier send you to is paid for by them. Those doctors know that the goal is to either minimize your injuries or to deny them altogether. Fortunately, they do not have the final say in this. If needed, we can send you to one of our own doctors for a different point of view on the treatment you may need and the cause for your injuries. Under certain circumstances, we can even force the insurance company to pay for the evaluation! Contact us to find out more.
  • My claim hasn't been denied. How will a lawyer help me?

While they are far too infrequent, there are times when your employer and its insurance carrier will provide appropriate medical treatment without contesting the claim. They may even make a settlement offer afterwards for your permanent partial disability. The problem is that such an offer almost NEVER reflects the true and fair amount of disability benefits you are legally entitled to. Of course, if you never speak with an experienced workers' compensation attorney, how will you ever know?

With our aggressive yet honest approach, we will work with you to determine whether any settlement offer is fair. We will also explain the process required to pursue and maximize your benefits. Most importantly, if you are entitled to permanent disability benefits, we will GUARANTEE that you will not receive less in your pocket by using our firm. The choice will be yours to make, and you literally have nothing to lose by contacting us.

  • If workers' comp is my legal right, why do I need a lawyer?
Although you do have a right to workers' compensation per the law, there are deadlines and certain requirements that must be met. From the very beginning, the employer, its insurance carrier and the doctors they choose are looking for ways to either deny your claim entirely or to minimize the benefits you should be paid. We can help you to receive the right kind of medical treatment for your injuries, temporary total disability benefits for your time missed from work and the maximum recovery for any permanent disability your injuries may cause.
