Arm Yourself!

Throughout our website and our blogs, we make it clear that our desire is for all injured workers to be fully advised of their rights and options. We speak to so many people who have been given wrong information by their employer or the insurance company. Unfortunately, we know that there are still far too many who simply accept what they're told as truth and end up sacrificing both their physical and financial well-being in the process.

Employers will tell their workers that they cannot file a claim if they've missed the company's deadline (often 24 to 48 hours after an accident) to report their injuries. That is 100% false! The only reporting deadlines that matter for your claim are those set by the Kansas and Missouri legislatures. Insurance companies will tell you that your injuries are due to a preexisting condition and aren't covered. That is quite often false, and their hired-gun doctor may be the only source of their opinion. There are ways around this.

The workers' compensation laws are already restrictive enough – especially the current laws in Kansas. Many people have heard this and assume that there is nothing that can be done once the insurance company denies a claim or makes a low-ball offer to get out of it. You need to arm yourself with legitimate and trustworthy information in order to know what's right! The only way to get this is to call. Otherwise, you'll be stuck with what they tell you.

In the coming months, we will be blogging about specific cases that we take on to show where our client started based on what they had to say and where things ended up after we had our say on the matter. We hope this will give visitors to our site a better idea of what can be accomplished for them or someone they know.
